Thaw out your favorite vanilla flavored ice cream in a bowl.
In a blender or food processor dump in about 20 Oreo cookies. Blend until really fine crumbs. Add an 1/8 of a cup melted butter. Mix in a bowl the butter and crumbs. Scoop some of the mixture into individual muffin tins and press with your fingers so that the mixture goes up the sides a little bit.
My daughter had to keep mixing the ice cream around so that it would soften faster. You may want to do the same. I think the temptation of eating it was there more than trying to get it to melt faster.
Place about another 20 to 25 Oreo cookies in a zip lock bag and get your kids to crush them in to fine crumbs. My daughters used a glass to help with the crushing process.
I saved some to put on top of the mixture after I had put it into the muffin tin's cups.

Now the temptation get a little harder to fight off at this stage. Mix the crushed cookies with the melted ice cream in a bowl. Mix well! Try not to indulge quiet yet!
Once mixed spoon on to the top of the crushed Oreo crests in the muffin tin. I filled mine to the top of each tin. You will have to work a quickly at this time. Ice cream will be melting all over the muffin tin pan.
After all cups are filled, cover with a piece of tin foil and place in the freeze until they are firm. It was about three hours. I know, the waiting is difficult!
